I’ve pretty much done all I need to do for Christmas. Presents have been bought and wrapped. The tree is up and decked. Meat is ordered from our local butcher. All I need to do now is buy the veggies.
We had a last-minute catch-up day, running around dropping off bits and bobs to clients around the Vale. Our last stop was a quick visit to Nicola Steele (@Boutiquesvenetiasteele on Facebook ) to drop off some more copies of our autumn issue of Vale Life magazine.
I couldn’t help but take a look at Nicola’s new stock. I wasn’t quick enough to pick up one of the fab gilet style coats when she last had them in, so I didn’t hesitate this time and a got one in khaki.
As Jack now has a job and working in the lead up to Christmas, we won’t be able to go out for our family Christmas Day lunch, so we’re determined (despite new lockdown regulations) to celebrate as a family, so we’re planning an evening meal instead. With this in mind, a blingly black jumper caught my eye and will fit the bill perfectly. I loved it so much, that I had to have it in red as well.
Even though we’re working on our winter issue now and will be working over Christmas, we still plan to take it a little easier and try and enjoy our family time together.
Hope you all have a lovely Christmas. Hopefully there are better times ahead and we can all just start living again without Covid hanging over us.
