My favourite seasons are autumn and spring. Not too hot and not too cold. The perfect weather in my opinion for a jumper. They’re so versatile. You can wear them with leggings, jeans, skirts and dungarees.
Don’t get me wrong, a like a colourful blouse as well but then there are the buttons and the old conundrum – do I tuck or not tuck? Now there’s even the front tuck leaving the back hang down. Too many choices. I can’t deal. So, that’s why my wardrobe is full of different jumpers.
Given the choice and the budget, I’d always go for cashmere. M&S do great ones, they’re under a hundred pounds and wash well. It does pay to spend a bit more. I do have a few in different colours and they’re so soft and snuggly. They just make me feel good.
I did a count of my jumpers and I’m not going to tell you how many I have. I’m a bit embarrassed to say how many there are. Let’s just say I’m the Imelda Marcos of jumpers (ditto for jeans, boots, skirts and dresses) but definitely jumpers!
Here are just a few of my favourites right now.
