Lazy(ish) Sunday Afternoon

Sunday afternoons don’t get much better than this. It’s been a while since we’ve been out for a family Sunday lunch at Hilary and Iain’s by the Sea, Ogmore-by-Sea, so that was our first stop. I have to say, maybe because we hadn’t been there for a while or maybe we were the first sitting for a roast, it’s hard to beat perfection but they nailed it!

The next stop was an impromptu meeting with a lovely chap called Graham Davies who runs a Simnai Cakes mobile van. What a lovely chap with a sad story to tell that has a positive ending. Graham is such a kind soul, and he deserves to do well. After the boys tasted his cakes, I’ve no doubt he will. We’ve featured him in the autumn issue of Vale Life, click here to read.

On our way back home, we stopped off at Llantwit Major Church. What a stunning building this is. If you haven’t paid it a visit, then it’s a must.

It was the first outing for one of my new dresses from Venetia Steele Boutique as well. It was such a joy to pop on a such a lovely dress. Nicola has such a great eye for what women want (and need) in their wardrobes.~
