On a boiling hot day in July, we had to take photographs of a boutique. Normally I enjoy photoshoots, but it was so hot (I’m talking 33 degrees), so I wasn’t really looking forward to standing in the road, making sure cars didn’t park outside, in the sweltering heat.

Luckily, given as I work in the media world, I don’t have to meet clients all suited and booted. They would rather I be laid back. It makes them feel more at ease. I still like to make an effort though so, even if I’m wearing a pair of jeans, I like to smarten it up a bit with a waistcoat or a jacket in cooler weather (not matchy-matchy though).

Mark took these photos of me in our garden before we left for the shoot as I didn’t want to look like a sweaty mess.

The shoot was for the front cover of our title City Life Cardiff and the client was Boutique 53, a fabulous boutique on Wellfield Road in Cardiff.
