Met laurence Llewelyn-Bowen today for the first time and I have to say he’s a genuinely lovely guy. We were at a press briefing for a new project to buy and restore Plas Llanmihangel, a beautiful Grade I listed building in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan.
Laurence is supporting the initiative and we were invited to have a chat with him about the project and his involvement. I won’t go into great detail. There’s a nice piece on the Vale Life website. Vale Life magazine will have a lovely feature about this brilliant initiative in its summer edition.
I always liked him on his various TV programmes but you never know until you meet someone in the flesh whether they’re everything they’re cracked up to be. He was seriously lovely, super patient, engaging, witty and very good at what he does. Both Mark and I were impressed.
Anyway, have a read of the article. The organisation that Laurence supports are trying to purchase Plas Llanmihangel to benefit disadvantaged families. There’s a crowd funding link too, so if you can spare a few pounds you’ll help save a lovely old building and make a charming designer and a magazine editor very happy.
