We had the absolute pleasure of being invited to spend an evening at the breathtaking St Brides Spa Hotel, located on the stunning clifftops of Pembrokeshire. Now part of The Celtic Collection, this iconic hotel has long been known for its unrivalled coastal views, but what awaited us exceeded every expectation.
If you’ve ever seen those gorgeous images of the hotel’s infinity pool overlooking the bay, trust me, it’s even more spectacular in person. The view is one thing, but the serene atmosphere, combined with the sound of gentle waves below, truly creates a peaceful escape from the everyday. And if you manage to catch the sunset, which we did, there’s no better place.
We were warmly welcomed by two remarkable women – Jill Manley, the vivacious Group Business Development Director, and Vanessa Russell, the equally fabulous Group Marketing Director. Both were eager to give Mark and I a tour of the hotel and fill us in on what The Celtic Collection has in store for this beautiful property.
The hotel, previously owned for many years by its original proprietors, has found new energy under the Celtic Group. Jill and Vanessa explained that the previous owners felt it was time to pass the baton, and now, under the guidance of The Celtic Collection, the hotel is poised for a new chapter of transformation.
We were treated to a sneak peek of two newly refurbished bedrooms, and wow, they were simply stunning! The vision for the hotel is clear: a complete refurbishment of all rooms and key areas, with a targeted completion by next spring. There’s so much to look forward to – and if the finished product is anything like the refreshed rooms we saw, this is going to be a dream destination for travellers far and wide.
Of course, no evening is complete without fantastic food, and The Celtic Group certainly knows how to put on an event! We were spoiled with mouthwatering dishes prepared by the hotel’s incredibly talented chef. Mark indulged in delicious food from the Lobster Club on the ground floor, while the chef graciously made me a butter-basted steak, cooked rare – just how I like it. It was perfection on a plate, and the thoughtfulness in accommodating my preferences didn’t go unnoticed.
Drinks flowed freely, and the steel band added an upbeat rhythm to the night, filling the night with feel-good vibes. There were also plenty of expertly crafted cocktails to enjoy, which definitely added a touch of glam to the evening.
Though we haven’t stayed overnight at St Brides Spa Hotel just yet, it’s now firmly on our must-visit list. It’s the perfect venue for a business retreat, and I can already picture its picturesque backdrop being the ideal setting for wedding photos – with that jaw-dropping infinity pool and the breathtaking bay as the perfect canvas.

With its charming location, excellent service, and exciting new developments on the horizon, we can’t wait to see what’s next for St Brides Spa Hotel as part of The Celtic Collection. One thing’s for sure – it’s bound to be spectacular!
