We met a lovely lady today at Pyle Garden Centre who wanted to work with us promoting her business in Vale Life magazine. While we were there, we popped in to Loulou Boutique which is based within the garden centre’s grounds to celebrate with Deb, Caz and Jayne on the boutique’s 10th anniversary.
The girls had laid on some scrummy cupcakes and, of course, a lovely glass of bubbly. I only called in to wish them well but that didn’t stop me from having a look at what was on offer. To celebrate the birthday, Loulou were offering 50% off on certain items. I hadn’t planned on having a spend but it would have been rude of me not to pick something up, wouldn’t it? Let’s say yes.
I spotted a few lovely pieces, but this orange cotton maxi really was calling my name. It’s from a brand I didn’t recognise but Loulou is known for that. Chances are not a lot of women will be wearing the same thing which is always a good thing. It felt so good to wear. So light and breezy. Just perfect for what turned out to be a warm day. Best thing of all – it had pockets! I love a dress with pockets. It was a steal as well, going from £117 down to £59 in the anniversary sale.
That morning, coincidentally, I popped on a necklace which I also bought from Loulou pre-pandemic. I love the fact that it’s a double chain effect style which is all in right now. It’s a good length too.
We then paid a visit to the The Olive Tree café and had one of their fab omelettes. As we don’t eat chips and salad, I asked for a bit more cheese in the omelette and boy did they listen. Most eateries we go to when I ask for this say yes but, when the food arrives, it’s seriously lacking in the cheese department. Not so here it was super cheesy and delicious.
All in all, what a great morning!
