Bistrot Pierre has long been a favourite for those who love classic French cuisine in a stylish yet relaxed setting. With stunning sea views and a welcoming atmosphere, this Mumbles gem has now introduced a brand-new fixed-price two-course lunch menu, offering exceptional value without compromising on quality.

For just £14.95, available Monday to Friday from 12pm to 3pm, diners can enjoy a starter and a main course from a well-curated menu featuring French-inspired favourites. Whether you’re gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, or simply looking for a delicious and satisfying lunch, there’s something to suit every taste.

A Menu to Savour
The new offering includes starters such as Soup du Jour, crispy whitebait, and pan-fried Toulouse sausage served with a rich red pepper and tomato sauce on garlic croûtes. For mains, guests can indulge in dishes like the comforting Moroccan sweet potato and red pepper tagine, the hearty Coq au Vin, or the classic Parmentier, a French-style cottage pie with ground beef, smoked bacon, and carrots topped with pomme purée and served with peas.

Nick White, CEO of Bistrot Pierre, emphasizes the restaurant’s dedication to affordability and quality: “Value is at the heart of what we do. We pride ourselves on ensuring our customers are provided with affordable choices, without compromising the quality or dining experience.”

Our Visit
Opting for a leisurely lunch, we ventured to Bistrot Pierre with our son, keen to experience the charm of this seaside bistro. While the fixed-price menu was tempting, we decided to go off-plan and order some of our personal favourites.

Jack started with calamari, which he found enjoyable but a little mild in flavour, while Mark opted for the pâté, which was beautifully presented and packed with rich, savoury depth. I chose to save room for my main – a blue-cooked sirloin steak.

For mains, Jack went for a burger with fries, describing it as “very, very good.” Mark chose the fish dish, which he praised for being perfectly cooked, while my steak, cooked exactly as ordered, was served with chips, mushroom, and tomato. I requested two fried eggs instead of the usual accompaniments, and the team was more than happy to accommodate my request.

We were all too full for dessert, but the options looked incredibly tempting. Instead, Mark and I wrapped up our meal with a coffee, enjoying the cosmopolitan decor and the gorgeous sea views.

Service That Shines
What truly made our experience stand out was the exceptional service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and professional, with a special mention to Emily, who was the star of the show – a real asset to the restaurant.
