Life-Styled is published by Good Life Publishing. This page explains what information we collect when you visit life-styled.co.uk, why we collect it and what we do with it. We keep things simple, we never sell your details and we only use them for the reasons set out below.
Who we are
Good Life Publishing is responsible for this website and for any personal information collected through it. If you have a question about this policy or about your information, email us at hello@goodlifepublishing.co.uk.
Information you give us
If you contact us through the website or by email, we will receive your name, email address and anything else you choose to tell us. We use this only to reply to you and, where relevant, to follow up on what you asked about, such as advertising, partnerships or a feature idea.
If you sign up for news or offers through a form on the site, we use your email address to send you what you asked for. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to remove you at any time.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, life-styled.co.uk collects some information automatically when you visit. This includes the pages you look at, how long you spend on them, the type of device and browser you use and roughly where in the world you are. We use Google Analytics to understand which articles readers enjoy, so we can write more of what you like. This information does not tell us who you are.
We also count how many times each article has been viewed, and we use a tool called OptinMonster to show occasional sign-up messages.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Some are needed for the site to work properly. Others, such as those set by Google Analytics and OptinMonster, help us understand how the site is used and avoid showing you the same message twice. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. The site will still work, although some features may not.
Links to other websites
Our articles often link to brands, shops, restaurants and our sister titles. Some of these may be affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you buy something, at no extra cost to you. Once you leave our site, the other website’s own privacy policy applies, so it’s worth having a look at theirs.
Who we share information with
We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information. We only share it with the services that help us run the website, such as our web host and Google Analytics, and only as far as they need it to provide that service. We will also share information if the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep emails and enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with what you asked, and for a reasonable time afterwards in case you get back in touch. Analytics information is kept in summary form and does not identify you.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Just email hello@goodlifepublishing.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would always appreciate the chance to put things right first, though.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
