If you love good food, then a trip to the award-winning Llangoed Hall in the Wye Valley is a must. We were lucky enough to visit back in 2016 but it’s definitely time to pay it another visit!

The AA awarded hotel has two notable fine dining accolades; 3 AA Rosettes for food and Notable Wine List. In addition, The Good Food Guide awarded Llangoed Hall a Top 50 UK restaurants listing whilst The Sunday Times awarded the hotel Wales’s leading dining destination. Head Chef Nick Brodie takes inspiration from the hotel’s organic kitchen and uses eggs from three duck houses – chicken, duck and quail. He can often be found in the kitchen gardens.

We were able to speak with Managing Director, Calum Milne during our stay and the passion, attention to detail and love that he had for the hotel was clearly evident. He was very fond of Sir Bernard Ashley, husband of Laura, the previous owners.

Llangoed Hall is also an environmental winner with many green initiatives which secured the Conde Nast Johansens ‘Best for Green Practices Award’ 2016. Llangoed Hall’s 23 bedrooms all have beautiful views of the surrounding Welsh countryside. Discover the Wye Valley from your base at this stunning hotel.
