We’ve heard so many good things about the new Old Bank in Dinas Powys and can’t wait to try it out. We featured it in our last issue of Vale Life (click here). With this, and some exciting developments at the local golf club, Dinas Powys is fast becoming a bit of a foodie village – no bad thing. So, as we were passing the other day, we decided to pop in.
Why am I telling you this? Well, hubby and I try and have a date night on a Thursday night which is not always possible as we’ve got so much going on workwise (we tend to do our emails and copy in the evenings) but we have made a pact that we should stick to our date night resolutions, so a booking at The Old Bank is now in the diary. We will report back once we’ve been.
While we were there, we noticed a few plates of brunch coming out and, to be fair, they all looked stunning.
No expense has been spared on the décor and they have a fun addition to the venue, which is a photo booth where you can take a few pics and then send them to your email or phone to post. Perfect for instagrammers!
As it was such a lovely day, I’d popped on one of my new Zara dresses. I love a dress with a pop of colour, and I do love a bit of green. It definitely needs a waist belt to cinch in my waist and make it a feature but the one I put with it in the morning looked a bit ropey so I’m on the hunt for a new one. The belt it came with in the same fabric had to do.
I love this style of dress. I think it fits my shape. I thought, given the fabric that it might crease, especially after sitting in the van with a seatbelt, but it held up well. I’ve been on the site looking for the same style in different colours. They do have some, but the green is the best colourway for my colouring I think.
I’ll report back on our meal after we’ve tried it out.
