I’ve been looking for a pair of white strappy mid heels for a while. I did have my eye on a pair from Zara but every time I went online, they were sold out in my size. Imagine my delight (it’s not hard), when I called in to Folk in Cowbridge and found just the pair I was looking for!
They may not be leather, which is my usual go-to, but at the price I paid, who was I to grumble. It’s not like I’m going to be walking miles in this type of sandal anyway.
Folk is tucked away in one of the side streets in Cowbridge, off the main road, so it’s fairly easy to miss but it is a big space so I would imagine the rental is pretty sizeable. It has two floors so that space on the main road would be scary money!
While I was looking around (Mark calls it chicken mode because my head bobs about while I scan everything), I also spotted a fab pair of sunnies (sunglasses). Had to grab those. Another amazing price.
The lady who worked there was so nice and chatty. She did a good job of upselling – fair do’s (means respect basically – we Welsh are a funny lot). It must be hard to get the right staff these days, but she was lovely and super helpful. The packing was fab too.
It all added up to a successful and enjoyable ten minutes which was all the time I had to spare. If I’d had more time, I would have tried on a few of her clothing items as well. I spied that she sold a lovely brand that I’ve got my eye on which sells quality knit tops and dresses. Another time…
